Lawyers representing embattled Los Angeles City Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas filed a brief on Mar. 13 regarding testimony given by Ann Reval on behested payments made to charities on behalf of elected officials.

Ridley-Thomas’ lawyers excluded some of Reval’s testimony, as an expert witness, on the legalities of the $100,000 campaign check that was provided to Community Partners from a campaign account controlled MRT.
