POMONA, Calif. – Seventeen out of 658 motorists screened were cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license or driving with a suspended or revoked license during a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint in Pomona Saturday.
In addition to the 17 drivers cited, four vehicles were towed, according to the Pomona Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
The operation was conducted from 9 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday at Mission Boulevard and Curran Place.
In 2021, the department investigated 135 DUI collisions that resulted in two deaths and injuring 48 people.
