BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. – A person has died after an early morning traffic collision Friday morning.

Authorities with Los Angeles police and fire departments responded to a call around 1:18 a.m. about a traffic collision in the 3000 block of Washington Blvd. in Boyle Heights.
Upon arrival, authorities found a vehicle at the rear of a big rig with two people injured.
One was trapped in the vehicle and the other was self-extricated and transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
