LONG BEACH, Calif. – A pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition Monday after he was struck by a vehicle near the Long Beach Marina.
The crash occurred at 9:07 p.m. Sunday at Second Street and East Pacific Coast Highway, said Long Beach police Lt. Steven Costa.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the man to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition, Costa said.
The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene, he said.
The busy intersection was closed at the beginning of the crash investigation.
