LOS ANGELES – No tickets were sold matching all six numbers in Tuesday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery, and the estimated jackpot for Friday’s drawing grew to $302 million.
The numbers drawn were 1, 21, 25, 27, 40 and the Mega number was 11. Tuesday’s jackpot was $272 million.
It was the 14th drawing since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
No tickets were sold in California with five numbers, but missing the Mega number. Such a ticket would have been worth $424,167, according to lottery officials.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.
The Mega Millions game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
