Dear 2UrbanGirls,
I saw your post on Twitter asking why Gloria Gray still hasn’t attended an Inglewood City Council meeting despite being declared the winner of the District 1 runoff on March 17.
Well today, March 29, she was presiding over the West Basin water board meeting. Here’s the link to today’s meeting for reference http://wbmwdca.iqm2.com/Citizens/FileOpen.aspx?Type=14&ID=2225&Inline=True.
Does she plan on holding BOTH seats? When exactly will Inglewood City Clerk Aisha Thompson be swearing her in? Inglewood City Hall is closed for the next two days and per Los Angeles County Gray is to be sworn in within 14 days of the election being certified.
How did she fool Inglewood voters into voting for her as an “independent voice” and on a platform of “transparency” and she’s already with the shenanigans two weeks later?

Transparency is what she claimed but ….Consider this …. when most hear the word “Transparent” we think unblocked, clean, clear able to see all things as in a freshly cleaned window..while to some elected it appears to mean one way glass as in they can see out but no one can see in unless conditions are just right.
We must learn to be wary of those who tell us what we want to hear especially when their past voting behavior and voting records tells who they really are. Sadly sometimes this is completely unlike the happy things their press packages declare.
Considering Butts’ history of helping fund Gloria Gray campaigns that she would actually be independent does seem unlikely – optics however did tell us the Melanie McDade scandal made an impact and he needed to surround himself with woman who could say our hero could do nothing wrong….wait for the next wave of females promoted to highly paid positions for which they have little if any legitimate educational or experiencial background..
White collar crime is just as inappropriate as blue. Collar crime and often has many more victims. .
If it was wrong for the Latin men to hold two offices itis also wrong for Gloria Gray.
there should be no sacred cows.
