COMPTON, Calif. – The East Side Riders Bike Club announced the launch of an E-Bike Lending Program to celebrate the bike club’s 15th Anniversary. Founder John Jones III made the announcement on the club’s social media accounts. The program is powered by the Los Angeles Clean Incubator (LACI).
The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator @laincubator and East Side Riders Bike Club (ESRBC) are excited to launch an e-bike lending pilot program for residents of #Watts, #Willowbrook, and #Compton. This pilot is funded by the State of California thanks to the leadership of Assemblymember Miguel Santiago and Senator María Elena Durazo. Community members will have access to a variety of e-bikes with extended check out periods to help riders get around more easily, reliably and affordably! This pilot will also support a proprietary mobile app for bike education and safe street advocacy. As an alternative to gas powered vehicles that emit harmful pollutants, e-bikes provide a cleaner, more sustainable transportation option.
