LOS ANGELES – A 41-year-old man who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in the South Los Angeles area was identified Tuesday.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified Arik Parker as the victim in the fatal hit-and-run crash.
Paramedics sent to Century Boulevard and Hoover Street about 8:55 p.m. Thursday pronounced Parker dead at the scene.
In a statement, the Los Angeles Police Department said they believe Parker was on the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle that was driving eastbound on Century Boulevard.
“There is no suspect information at this time and the vehicle is described as a dark-colored pickup truck,” police said.
A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by Los Angeles city officials for help solving a fatal hit-and-run crash, including information that identifies the motorist.
