Argument leads to shooting in South LA

LOS ANGELES – A man was wounded Saturday in a shooting during an argument in the Historic South-Central area of Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported at 12:26 p.m. at 36th and Trinity streets, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Warren Moore.

The 36-year-old man was involved in a dispute with a man believed in his 40s when “both parties pointed handguns at each other and the suspect fired,” Moore said.

Paramedics took the wounded man to a hospital where he was listed with stable vital signs, he said.

The shooting was believed gang-related, Moore said.
