RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – A wrong-way driver was killed on the 60 freeway in Rancho Cucamonga this morning, according to authorities.
CHP responded to a report of a traffic collision shortly after midnight on the westbound 60 freeway at the Grove Ave. exit.
Responders arrived on the scene and found the driver of the vehicle traveling the wrong was pronounced dead.
A driver who wishes to remain anonymous noted they saw the vehicle traveling the wrong way and almost hit the driver. When the driver attempted to make a U-turn to exit the freeway, they were hit by another car.
The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
