CARSON, Calif. – One person has died and another was left injured in an early morning car-to-car shooting in Carson, according to authorities.
Deputies from the Carson Sheriff’s station responded to 911 calls about a collision in the parking lot of the SouthBay Pavillion Mall shortly after midnight.

Upon arrival, deputies found two victims with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts to resuscitate them were unsuccessful. The other victim was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
Deputies are investigating the crime scene which spans from the mall to Denny’s restaurant across the street, according to videographers on the scene.
There is no known motive at the time and no description of the suspects.
