INGLEWOOD, Calif. – A new housing development has broken ground in the unincorporated area of Inglewood.
Los Angeles-based design firm JZA Architecture in partnership with developer TRG Investments have begun construction on Noxwood Apartments, a 10-unit multifamily community located in Lennox. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
The project is a captivating 10-unit apartment building; spanning three vertical stories. It is home to a mix of (6) two-bedroom units and (4) one-bedroom units suited to the local community and workforce housing.
JZA designed the building as a podium-type building with a private parking garage at the ground level and the residential units on the stories above. The design implements two different tones for the front facade to provide a contrast between the building volumes. The building’s warm simulated wood cladding, oriented vertically along the building, is designed to activate a portion of LA County in need of a catalyst to promote grassroots development.
