COVINA, Calif. – A collision involving a Metrolink train and a car in Covina Friday left one person from the vehicle injured.
Dashcam video has been obtained from another driver which appears to show the arm at the crossing going up as the driver proceeded to cross the train tracks.
Paramedics sent to North Barranca Avenue and East Front Street about 10:25 a.m. took the injured person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. No one was injured aboard the train.
The train, Number 308 on the San Bernardino line, had departed from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, according to Metrolink.
The track was closed while an investigation was conducted.
