SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. – One person was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle collision near an off-ramp of the Ventura (101) Freeway near Sherman Oaks.
The collision was reported at approximately 1:13 a.m. and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the westbound 101 Freeway and the Coldwater Canyon Avenue on-ramp where they found one of the vehicles on the on-ramp facing sideways, according to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The on-ramp was closed while the CHP conducted its investigation.
