These woke left politicians are a never-ending reel of hypocrisy at its finest after I read in the Los Angeles Times that long-time Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price criticized victims of a horrible police operation gone haywire in the article titled L.A. wants to evict families living in luxury hotel since botched 2021 fireworks detonation.
“Folks have got legal counsel and have decided not to accept our help. I think others are kind of gaming the system a little bit,” said City Councilman Curren Price, who represents the neighborhood. “They’ve had it good living in the hotel rent-free for several months. They want that to last as long as it can.”
LAPD police Chief Michel Moore foolishly and recklessly authorized an ill-advised detonation of a cache of weapons that injured 17 of Price’s constituent’s homes, who he’s been elected to represent ideally with great honor and humility, but then turns around and accuses these same constituents, who were victims of a military type operation of “gaming the system” so to speak for not accepting a pittance of compensation from the City despite the physical and psychological stress from their neighborhood being blown up.
Let’s keep in mind this decision would never have been authorized in a predominantly white neighborhood.
Come on Mr. Price?
Where is the sympathy and or human compassion and if all else fails why not subject yourself to the golden rule “if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all”?
This is the same Curren Price who took a vow of silence after being recently asked by David Zahniser of the Los Angeles Times about the controversial reappointment of Chief Moore When it comes to L.A.’s police chief, some council members are keeping quiet to an arguably undeserved new 5-year term for Chief or the fact that the left-leaning wing of the council hadn’t posed a serious challenge to his reappointment despite the fact Price loudly protested and strung Chief Moore up like a human piñata in exploring the pain and suffering of residents who were subjected to a military-style like operation in securing his recent re-election victory.
At the time Price released a statement saying he was “infuriated” by the preliminary findings, calling what happened an “act of negligence.
This is by far one of the LAPD’s largest blunders in recent history, which has further betrayed the trust of our South LA community,” Price said in a statement. “My constituents feel that this was a blatant disregard for their safety and our community of color. This tragedy could have been prevented and I wholeheartedly believe that additional safety precautions would have been taken in a more affluent community.”
I’m sorry but one must question Price’s silence.
At minimum when offered an opportunity to use his bully pulpit not taking advantage of this opportunity at this moment in time with the tenuous and ever-increasing deterioration of trust between law enforcement and the Black community even after we all collectively vowed “George Floyd” and the vicious lynching that he suffered by the hands of Derek Chauvin of the Minnesota Police Department was the final straw and that would be the “lynch” pin (no pun intended) to dramatically transform not the Minnesota Police Department but law enforcement across the country?
I’m sorry but to hear Price accuse his constituency of allegedly ” gaming of the system is laughable at best and although I’m a resident of Inglewood and quite familiar with the councilman as he was also a former member of the Inglewood City Council, he notoriously gamed the system by starting his lowly career as in Inglewood and mastered the game of “political musical chairs” in taking his Jesus like Damascus road journey to the California State Legislature and finally to the Los Angeles City Council.
As the saying must be true that a prophet isn’t honored in his own home but as a consolation prize the riches and glory and the perks of serving or self-serving on LA’s city council outweighed the risk of Price of getting a real job because hey that’s just what the woke left does – dispense false hopes and dreams to the most vulnerable members of our society while enriching themselves in the process.
Finally, since we are speaking of enriching one’s self, isn’t it rich that Price was recently in the headlines for being married to two women simultaneously? He was also the subject of a search warrant executed by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office because of medical benefits paid on behalf of his current wife while he was still married to the first one.
I guess Price doesn’t view it as gaming the system when his current wife profits off his council seats via contracts with some of the biggest names around Los Angeles County as covered by the Los Angeles Times in the article L.A. councilman has voted on decisions involving his wife’s clients.
I’m sorry but Curren Price and his comments are out of bounds and if we were to aptly apply gaming to anybody’s M.O. so to speak wouldn’t it be applied to him? He staunchly defended former disgraced Los Angeles City Councilman Mark Ridley Thomas continuing to receive his pay despite the fact he was indicted on very serious charges while a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors stemming from fraud allegations and trading the power and reach of his office for personal gain because to me supporting Mr. Ridley-Thomas who for decades has been arguably corrupt, enabling him could also be viewed as gaming the system.
Mr. Price owes his constituents an apology but then again perhaps he doesn’t feel he has to since he will term out of office in 2026 and will no longer be in need of their votes.

Re: LA councilman accusing his constituents of ‘gaming the system’ is like the pot calling the kettle black
How ironic, there are past and present city councilmembers who have “gamed the system.” If my memory serves correctly, the councilman is still under investigation by the FBI.
