HUNTINGTON PARK, Calif. – A march is planned for today at 1:30 p.m. to protest the Huntington Park police department’s killing of a double amputee on Jan. 26.

Anthony Lowe was suspected of stabbing someone when he was encountered by officers with the Huntington Park police department.
Lowe, a double amputee, then attempted to flee the officers but was shot to death in the upper torso.
His family alleges he posed no threat, while the officers allege Lowe was in a possession of a knife that they feared would be used against them.
The Coalition for Community Control Over the Police will join the family of Anthony Lowe, along with Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer, to march on the Huntington Park Police Station.
His family is adamant that Lowe was undergoing a mental health crisis when he was shot.
The address of the Huntington Park police station is 1900 E. Slauson Ave.
