Inglewood Assemblywoman Tina McKinnor announced her support of Adam Schiff for US Senate days before it became public that Diane Feinstein would not run for reelection next year.
There is still speculation that Rep. Barbara Lee (Oakland) would throw her hat in the ring but has made no indication of what her plans are.

Now that it’s “out” Feinstein isn’t running, this means Schiff has the support of Nancy Pelosi. Her endorsement was contingent on Feinstein’s retirement.
Asm. McKinnor isn’t sharing her endorsement of Schiff on her official social media accounts but rather her personal ones labeled as “Ad Paid for by Tina McKinnor for Assembly”.
Is Schiff paying for her support?
I support Congressman @AdamSchiff because of his votes on policy in the last few years. He voted for the George Floyd Act, the right for a woman to have an abortion, The New Green Deal and raising the national minimum wage. It was great seeing Adam Schiff this morning. pic.twitter.com/F8Z4wVKiCY

Her reasons mirror Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ support of another term for LAPD Chief Michael Moore.
Their support of the George Floyd Act which didn’t become law.
One could argue there is something more here as we don’t know if a better candidate will emerge for the seat.
McKinnor is up for reelection next year for Assembly District 61. Will she have his support?
