CHICAGO (TMX) – Four people were injured when a Chicago Transit Authority bus crashed into a building Friday evening, fire officials said.

According to Chicago police, a driver in a Nissan Maxima ran a red light and struck the bus, causing the bus driver to lose control. The bus crashed into a currency exchange at 111th Street and Michigan Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood shortly after 6 p.m.
Photos shared by the Chicago Fire Department show the bus wedged into the entrance of the currency exchange. The brick facade is crumbling around the bus, and the store’s sign is falling onto the bus. The front end of the Nissan is completely destroyed and burned.
Four people were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, fire officials said, including the male driver of the Nissan.
