SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (2UrbanGirls) – Three people were injured in a shooting at a Santa Clarita apartment complex, late Saturday night.

The shooting took place shortly before 10:20 p.m. in the Canyon Country neighborhood on the 28800 block of Prairie Lane, north of Soledad Canyon Road and east of Sand Canyon Road.
At that time, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station both received 911 calls reporting several gunshot victims inside a garage along an alleyway of Prairie Lane.
Firefighters were first to the scene with their partners from the American Medical Response and staged along Soledad Canyon Road as part of the standard procedure with a shooting call — with many unknown variables, they’ll typically wait for law enforcement to render the scene safe before entering.
Family members related to the gunshot victims at the scene were upset with the medical response staging out and put one of the victims on a rolling office chair and wheeled him to Soledad Canyon Road and shouted at the medical personnel.
Firefighters saw the victim and opted to treat him at the curb away from the scene just as deputies from the sheriff’s department arrived at the scene.
Three people were rushed to a trauma center in unknown condition.
The shooting remains under investigation.
