LOS ANGELES – A man was fatally wounded during a gang-related shooting in Boyle Heights, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting occurred at about 10 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Mission Road, where an argument between the victim and the suspect escalated into a shooting, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The suspect, said to be between 18 and 20 years old, fired several shots at the victim and fled the scene in a vehicle, police said.
Paramedics rushed the victim — who was approximately 25 years old — to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
