ANAHEIM, Calif. – A man was killed Thursday in Anaheim, and police were asking for the public’s help in seeking a suspect.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was found by a passerby on East Street just south of the Riverside (91) Freeway, at about 7:20 a.m., according to Anaheim police Sgt. Jon McClintock.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, McClintock said.
“We don’t believe it was a traffic collision,” McClintock said.
The man was a victim of some type of violent crime, the sergeant said.
Police believe there were more witnesses or passersby who tried to help the man, and investigators would like to talk to them, McClintock said.
Anyone with helpful information for investigators was asked to call 714-765-1900. Orange County Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips at (855) TIP-OCCS.
