LOS ANGELES – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Monday evening while walking near the interchange from the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway and the Harbor (110) Freeway.
The collision was reported at approximately 11:41 p.m. and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the freeway interchange near the Central Avenue exit where they learned the pedestrian had been hit by a red Honda Civic and was lying in the slow lane.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not immediately known if the driver of the Honda remained at the scene.
The third, four, and fifth lanes of the Glenn Anderson Freeway were closed while the CHP conducted its investigation.
