DOWNEY, Calif. – A man has been killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night while riding a mini bike in Downey, according to authorities.

Downey police received multiple calls for a person with injuries near the San Gabriel River. Sheriff’s deputies were also on the scene to assist with the investigation.
Authorities arrived at Telegraph Road and True Ave. where they found the victim down in the gutter lane.
Witnesses stated a gray sedan with a spoiler “plowed into” the man and continued to leave the scene.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
