LONG BEACH, Calif. – Police were investigating a shooting in Long Beach Saturday, where the suspect and a possible victim fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers.
Officers were dispatched at about 1:05 a.m. Saturday to the 5100 block of East Second Street regarding a “shots” call, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“Upon arrival, officers determined a male adult victim and a male adult suspect were involved in an altercation that escalated to the shooting,” police said. “Both parties fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.”
No injuries were reported.
There have been a series of shootings in Long Beach where authorities find shell casings and no victims.
