Dear 2UrbanGirls,
I wanted to bring something to Metro’s attention and hopefully you can assist.
This has been going on since 2019: let’s say you have two bus stops, A & B and the Metro bus driver stops between these two stops. Why? It’s not a bus stop! Re-read that. IT’S NOT A BUS STOP!
Because the driver drove too fast and is trying to make their next time point they aren’t stopping at the designated bus stops.
So we poor people are left on the bus just sitting there. We, poor people, have another bus to catch or we need to get off the bus for many reasons (sick of the homeless person smell, teenager vaping, need to get our bicycles and ride the rest of the way, or the sexual harassment) but the MTA bus driver just sits in the middle of the road (NOT A BUS STOP) just watching the clock.
About this ignorant MTA policy – why doesn’t the MTA policy state that as long as you leave B on time, then the arriving time at B doesn’t matter?
