INGLEWOOD, Calif. (2UrbanGirls) – Inglewood taxpayers are being asked to pay for an $18,000 invoice dated Feb. 14, 2022, for activity related to Super Bowl 56.
The invoice is on the warrant register for the Jan. 24 regular city council meeting and isn’t associated with any specific department. The check description says “equipment for Super Bowl 2022”.
Because the invoice is included in the warrant register, there will be no explanation as to why it is being paid a year after services were rendered, which department dropped the ball on closing out all invoices owed under the prior fiscal year, and more importantly why it’s being charged to the current fiscal year’s budget.
