LONG BEACH, Calif. – A man in Long Beach suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his upper body when he was stabbed from behind by an assailant who fled the scene on foot, authorities said Thursday.
Officers dispatched about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday to the 1700 block of Coronado Avenue located the man suffering from a stab wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
He told officers he was walking in the area when a man approached him from behind, stabbed him, and fled. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital.
A motive for the stabbing was not immediately known, and police had no suspect description.
