NORTH HILLS, Calif. – A pickup truck driver was seriously injured Tuesday when the vehicle overturned off the San Diego (405) Freeway in the North Hills area.
The crash was reported around 4 p.m. on the southbound freeway at the Roscoe Boulevard offramp, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver, a man believed to be in his 40s, was alone in the gray extended-cab pickup, which rolled over and came to rest against a building. Fire officials said his arm was “badly trapped” in the wreckage, and he had to be carefully pulled from the wreckage.
He was taken to a hospital in serious condition by LAFD paramedics.
The cause of the crash was not immediately available.
