WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday voted to pass a $1.7 trillion spending bill, already passed by the Senate, sending it to President Biden for a signature.
The omnibus spending bill includes $772.5 billion for the non-defense, domestic budget and $858 billion in defense funding.
The spending bill, which would fund government operations to avoid a government shutdown over the holidays, includes $45 billion emergency aid for Ukraine.
The bill also included a measure that updates the 1887 Electoral Count Act to make it harder to overturn a certified election.
