GARDENA, Calif. – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a man who had barricaded himself in Gardena, authorities said Friday.
Deputies from the department’s Special Enforcement Bureau were assisting the Gardena Police Department in trying to convince the suspect to surrender at 7:51 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of West Rosecrans Avenue when he was shot, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
