HAWTHORNE, Calif. -A man found shot to death in Hawthorne was a resident of the unincorporated View Park community of Los Angeles County, authorities said Monday.
Cameron Harper-Mitchell was 27 years old, according to the coroner’s office.
Hawthorne police responded to a gunshots fired call at 7:29 p.m. Saturday in the 11500 block of York Avenue, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
They found Harper-Mitchell in the driver seat of a vehicle and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his upper body, sheriff’s officials said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
