SANTA ANA, Calif. – A teacher’s aide was behind bars Wednesday on suspicion of showing a lewd photograph to children in Santa Ana.
Marvin Elias was in his vehicle in the 1400 block of South Rene Drive, between Edinger and McFadden avenues, about 3 p.m. Tuesday when he called over some children walking by to show them a lewd photograph on his cellphone, police alleged.
Elias was booked on suspicion of child annoyance and showing harmful matters to a minor, according to Santa Ana police. Bail was set at $20,000.
Elias has been a teacher’s aide at McFadden Intermediate School in Santa Ana since May, police said.
