LONG BEACH, Calif. – A man has been arrested for wielding a shotgun in Long Beach.
The man was taken into custody after threatening to shoot multiple citizens and striking one in the face with the gun late Friday Night.
Multiple callers reported seeing the suspect brandish the firearm in the area of Long Beach City College.
The first call came in around 11 p.m. in the area of Orange Avenue and E. Wesley Drive.
Long Beach Police Department caught up to the suspect about a half hour later in a homeless encampment on Orange Avenue and Autrilla Scott Lane, where he struck a victim in the face with the shotgun.
Long Beach Fire Department treated a victim with a laceration to the face on scene of the incident.
A shotgun was recovered during the arrest.
