ALHAMBRA, Calif. – A 71-year-old man fatally struck by a van in Alhambra was a resident of that city.
According to the coroner’s office, Quang Khuu died of blunt force injuries in what was determined to have been an accident.
The crash occurred at about 7:50 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Marengo Avenue and Valley Boulevard, according to Lt. Ruben Soriano of the Alhambra Police Department.
Responding officers tried CPR to revive the man but their efforts failed, Soriano said. Khuu died at the scene.
Soriano said the driver of the van stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors.
