Dear 2UrbanGirls,
We need your help. Many of us are home sharing operators who earn extra money listing our homes/units/rooms on the Airbnb platform for short-term rentals.
The City lists the non-executed short-term rental ordinance on the City’s website that is neither signed nor dated as to when it took effect.
The City is now demanding operators to pay transient occupancy taxes retroactive to Jan. 1, 2022, despite the ordinance not taking effect until Sept. We don’t know the actual date because the ordinance isn’t signed.
When you call the City’s Housing Protection Department they won’t provide a straight answer either.
Can you please help us?
Short-term rental operators
**Editor’s note**
2UrbanGirls has reached out to Housing Protection Director Yakema Decatur who hasn’t responded to emails on this matter either. If you are having trouble with the City’s demand for back taxes too leave us a comment or drop us an email at hello@2urbangirls.com.

Just another example of the dramas the stadium has brought us!
Notice on the budget there was no line item for stadium admissions income but somehow residence need to pay for all the extra security,,
Our taxes go up, or they come with new ones, fans trash our streets, make getting from and to home difficult, and thousands of tourists use our community as the doormat while they make the billionaires richer.
Someone has to pay for the exorbitant salaries of the go alongs , if they could the council would charge us for the unfiltered air.
