LOS ANGELES – Authorities Wednesday identified a 49-year-old man who was struck and killed in South Los Angeles.
The collision was reported just after 8:55 p.m. Monday in the area of 8539 S. Vermont Ave., near Algin Sutton Recreation Center, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified Jeffery Sizemore as the man who was killed.
Sizemore was trapped beneath the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LAFD.
No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the collision was under investigation.
Sizemore’s city of residence was not immediately known.
