Thank you for publishing my previous letter on what the West Basin board was preparing to approve. Here’s an update.
The board voted 4-0 to support Gray for another term as president of the Metropolitan Water District board! One was absent. But it was brought up she needs a “waiver” from MWD to actually do it.
Multiple people called in asking not to support staff recommendations but the board ignored them and supported Gray for another term while she’s also running for Inglewood city council.
They reduced her $10K support request for Taste of Soul to $5K most likely due to you publishing my letter.
Then there was a big deal over the Fiesta Hermosa free booth item where they were trying to figure out who dropped the ball and publicly blamed the staff. It got really awkward. The video of the meeting will probably be up next week.
