What’s happening at West Basin? Well here’s the latest.
The board members continue meeting from home since its convenient for them and their President Don Dear is running meetings from his hospital bed! The Brown Act allows the public to attend meetings wherever the elected official is officially meeting and in Dear’s case he’s believed to be at Gardena Memorial. Ratepayers could identify the room which should have the official West Basin board agenda affixed to his door as required by law.
The members still don’t know how to use the mute feature (go to 7:00 mark and 8:10) and Chairwoman Gloria Gray doesn’t know the members of her own committee (11:16) and the board appears to be forcing their staff to make ethnic lunch plans at the 3:23 mark.
What a joke.
