Inglewood residents continue to assemble at monthly Parking and Traffic Commission meetings to complain about the lack of parking enforcement and response from the Inglewood Police Department.
The biggest complaints are generated from areas represented by Councilmembers George Dotson (District 1), Eloy Morales (District 3) and Dionne Faulk (District 4). Faulk hasn’t had a commissioner for her area since January.

One by one, residents come forward to complain about being made to pay to park in front of their homes, in an effort to curb event attendees from parking in residential areas to avoid costly parking fees at either the Forum or SoFi Stadium, however, the only enforcement being done is on non-event days where residents are continually ticketed.
On event days, you can drive around any given area of Inglewood to NOT find parking enforcement enforcing parking restrictions that continue to be posted on some Inglewood streets.
The other source of contention is the lack of response from the Inglewood Police Department now that they have received a 22% salary increase courtesy of the council and taxpayers.
One resident was forced to contact Hawthorne Police Department for relief.
Residents are seeking better service from the aforementioned council members who are more concerned with hosting line dancing, picnics in the park, and whatnot to boost the re-election of Dotson, Padilla and Mayor James Butts than tending to the daily needs of the residents they purportedly serve.
