NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – A man was killed and another man was wounded in a shooting outside an apartment building in the Northridge area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
At 11:55 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 17950 Schoenborn St. on a report of shots fired, said a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
They found a man between the ages of 25 and 30 mortally wounded and a 37-year-old man wounded, she said.
The younger man was pronounced dead at the scene, the dispatcher said. Paramedics took the 37-year-old man to a hospital where he had stable vital signs.
The male suspect ran away from the scene, she said.
The shooting was possibly gang-related, the dispatcher said.
