INGLEWOOD – NFL fans descended upon Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium for the second game of the preseason where the Los Angeles Chargers faced the Dallas Cowboys Aug. 20. Fans were left in amazement when the video board didn’t work until after halftime.
This author was in attendance and noticed I had remarkably strong reception inside the stadium which is typically not our experience.
The game kicked off at 7pm with fans taking to social media to complain about the lack of catching the replays.
Update: End of Halftime, board screen is still down and un operational. @SamsungUS @SoFiStadium @chargers @NFL @barstoolsports #LACvsDAL pic.twitter.com/Xf6PCSZGKI

Mannn… @SoFiStadium I feel like I got robbed today!🫵🏾 No instant replays, gotta squint and look for the clock, score, downs & yardage.☹️ Just a big blank screen. Nice building though. pic.twitter.com/fxwlxuEYQI

Fans were confused by the black screen hovering over the field which is used to show replays, between play interviews, and the score. In fact, none of the video boards were working around the multi-billion dollar venue.
Shortly before kickoff, we experienced an outage with our internal broadcast system. We are resetting and expect all systems to be up and running shortly.

They finally got the board on two hours after kickoff.
