Sheriff Alex Villanueva made an appearance at various National Night Out celebrations including the city of Compton. National Night Out is an annual event that brings the community and law enforcement together and is celebrated nationwide.
The Sheriff’s department and the City’s previous mayor were at odds over a variety of issues, that caused strain between law enforcement and the community. Based on the photos shared from the event, a good night was had by all who attended.
Notably missing were members of the city council who are on their annual August “break”.
