Dear 2UrbanGirls,
Thank you for updating us on the contract negotiations concluding with the Inglewood Police Department.
As you may know, the Inglewood Police Officers Association (IPOA) is soliciting residents for donations, presumably to continue to fund the members of the city council, as you pointed out in Padilla’s campaign forms.
Why aren’t they visible on 8th Ave between 78th and Manchester as drivers continue to ignore the flashing stop signs and plow right through them. It has been brought to the mayors attention and the police department but we NEVER see them pulling anyone over and writing tickets to help cover the additional $16 million the police contract will cost residents.
Contacting George Dotson’s office is useless. It’s pathetic how unresponsive his office is.
Please publish this to remind them to do their job!

Somehow it seems there is a problem that we pay major bucks for Police Service yet when we call we rarely get a response ….and when we do see officers it is so, so, so long after the call was placed that either neighbors have solved the problem or the bad acting person has fled the scene.
How good do you think tourists would feel about coming here if they received the timely service we the residents receive???
As for the Inglewood Police Officers Association using dollars they get from residents for political campaigns… misrepresentation, lying and out and out deception are descriptions that come to mind of the stated purpose…..so why, oh why, would anyone EVER TRUST AN INGLEWOOD OFFICER AGAIN??
Hello Officers no need to wonder why your credibility has crumbled ask the Board members of the IPOA what they are thinking?
Or should we infer dropping those dollars into a campaign is the pay-off for the new contract negotiation points?
Could it be the campaign dollars were the incentive for the council to vote to shred abusive of force reports ????????
Oh the appearance of wrong doing !!!!!!
Trust Betrayed is Trust not easily reestablished !
