Dear 2UrbanGirls,
We are surprised we haven’t seen this on your site yet. As you know the Crenshaw/LAX line is getting ready to open and coincidentally a long shuttered business across the street mysteriously catches fire in the middle of the night.
The place where the homeless regularly camp out at the old Payless Shoe Source building is no more. Someone must not want the riders to see the homeless as soon as they roll into Inglewood until the transit connector is built.
At one point Metro had a lien on the property and alleged to be close to someone on city council.
Keep in mind the people mover is coming and it’s easier for this building to burn to the ground than pay market rate under eminent domain. The entire site is going to be taken for the transit connector.
Last time a fire like this happened the city was reimagining the shopping center at Crenshaw and Imperial where CVS is.
Coincidence? Arson? Insurance fraud?
Later!

Good grief. Some times things seem a little to coincidental don’t they?
Does anyone remember the city chose to do nothing about the homeless scattered along the freeway until by magic coincidence they found the will and resources to move them just before the super bowl game.?
We know there will be those from out of the area quick to say there are those with conspiracy theories or “trying to make the city look bad”..unfortunately those who do live here know it was by design that we got no notice about the Stadium vote which never took place until we read somewhere the Mayor said we, the people, had voted.
…..there was that coincidence that the EIR with time limits for response was released when the city was on vacation!
And yes now in 2 elections the city clerk did not advise the general public an incumbent was not running. But miraculously certain favored friends found out!
…..and those who have asked for specific public records are denied them then the council votes to destroy them.
Yes we have reasons for always wondering 1)who benefits, 2) what is intentionally being withheld or destroyed (police use of force, sound insulation documents, and oh yes the stadium petitions) and 3)why decisions which impact people were not debated.
What is that life lesson here: If the pattern of your behavior is not trustworthy don’t be surprised you are not trusted ?
