Dear 2UrbanGirls,
Yesterday I was at Vons on Manchester and Mayor Butts was too. He was walking around without a mask on and I didn’t see anyone speaking to him. Literally no one.
I found this odd because if you let the council tell it the majority of voters are happy with their performance as our elected leaders.
I remember reading one of your early articles when you met with former Councilwoman Judy Dunlap at the Starbucks on Centinela and no one came up to her either. She wasn’t re-elected that year and you would think with him running for mayor more people would be excited to see him.
It’s a big difference being amongst people, on a typical day, that doesn’t involve a city sponsored event. He also had the audacity to be parked in the fire zone as if he’s a firefighter. No different than him running around town in a city vehicle registered to the police department.
Didn’t you also write about how this store wouldn’t let petition gatherers get signatures to put rent control on the ballot?

Attention Von’s shoppers !
Did you know your grocery store will be gone as part of the …well pick a name….for the “Improvement” that will eradicate the businesses along Market, Manchester and Prairie…that’s Right take your pick there have been several names for the “project”:
Inglewood Transit Connector, Inglewood Monorail, the overhead elevated driverless bus,….
Yes , this is the supposed solution to the traffic congestion created by not taking into account the concerns of impacted residents when the Mayor and his Team decided that pleasing Billionaires was more important than pleasing residents.
This is just t one of the fallouts of The BIG BUTTS LIE that residents voted for a stadium. Reminder time: There was NO SUCH VOTE. ON ANY BALLOTS FOR REGISTERED VOTERS OF INGLEWOOD!
Please everyone do your research and notify your neighbors about what the future of our community will be as THE BUTT TEAM continues to do as they please. Yes, this was exactly what they planned when they changed council meeting times, making it difficult for us to address our concerns without losing a day’s pay.
Consider that BUTTS and his team have already rezoned large sections of our community to have bulldozers demolishing not just the small businesses of people who are not our best friends but some of our neighbor’s homes as well.
Yes they have already rezoned all the businesses of Crenshaw/ Imperial and the Businesses east of La Cienega and the homes close to La Cienega setting in motion the days they will say the rezoning was in place and now we will eminent domain per the the zoning and magically the developers will start building the monstrous multistory manahattan-ish skyscrapers reaching 13 stories into the clouds.
Please stay informed see Urbanize LA, and Transparent California – the council members have already shown you they didn’t want you to know what they are up to behind closed doors.
And please don’t think because your home is not on the already slated for demolition list that your neighborhood is safe
Vote as if your home not being taken by eminent domain depended on it.
