WEST HOLLYWOOD – Authorities Friday were searching for an inmate who escaped while being escorted to a bus on the grounds of the sheriff’s West Hollywood Station.
The man escaped while in a loading area at the station in the 700 block of North San Vicente Boulevard shortly before 7 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Deputies set up a perimeter in the area. No description was released of the man, who reportedly was being taken to a court appearance.
The inmate is described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall, and wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and police say is handcuffed.

Two perfect places to hide adjacent to the Sheriffs Station are the MTA Bus Yard with its many buses awaiting service and repair and the huge PDC Complex. Another reason to become armed in our now unsafe West Hollywood.
