INGLEWOOD – Inglewood elections will take place in November with three of the incumbents slated to run for re-election. During the regular city council meeting held Aug. 16 one councilman continues to exhibit decreasing mental faculties when it is time for him to deliver his closing comments.
Councilman George Dotson has been the mayor’s puppet since running for office in 2013 after Mayor James Butts loaned his campaign in excess of $100,000 which Dotson is unable to pay back. Dotson previously ran for office a record five times and continued to lose until Butts came along.

During yesterday’s meeting, when it came time to give remarks, Dotson explained he couldn’t do so without his notes.
When his notes finally arrived, he had trouble reading them. The one thing we do agree is his observation of a backpack giveaway that included Inglewood elected officials and a representative from Hollywood Park when describing them as an “assembly of lying people”.
The social media team floated pictures of the various events the council spoke on which primarily included the elected officials. All members lauded the chili cook off without mentioning who won or showing pictures of the food.
There are about a half dozen candidates running to replace him. Inglewood residents have a lot to consider when going to the polls this November.

you are so jealous of dotson tired of you talking about him, new subject please!
Stay tuned, there’s more to come.
I thought you were going to report on Maxine 😏, she is another idiot like the ones you showing here.
Why are you such haters? Do you even live in Inglewood??
Yes.
Haters?
Observers sounds like a much better description!
That any assembly of 5 has never had a non-unanimous vote (Ralph in all those years only voted no only once) tells us they have chosen never to utilize their own thought process with various experiences and awareness to make decisions, they do as they are told, sometimes it appears they even feel they must follow a script either on cell phone or on paper!
Many long-term and short- term residents are capable of making observations which tell us the council simply DOES NOT REPRESENT openness, transparency or our best interest.
That is not HATE, rather it is our ability to see beyond the hype, the photo opportunities and the party giving and notice that the agenda item votes cast by this group do impact us unfortunately not in the best of ways!!
No matter how many of our tax dollars are spent on image enhancement attempting to give us a positive image, we must begin to deal with the reality which is that the devotion of this group as reflected in their votes it is NOT TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY but far more often their self interest and the financial interest of the millionaires and billionaires who are not our neighbors.
Our president doesn’t even appear to have al his faculties. Are only US citizens allowed to say that?
