POMONA, Calif. – A former Compton city attorney has pulled papers to run for office.
Damon Brown has placed his name up for consideration for the Pomona School Board leading Compton residents to believe he never qualified for his previous position.
“It was always believed he was appointed because of his close relationship with former City Attorney/City Manager Craig Cornwell and that he never moved to Compton,” said a resident who declined to be identified.
Brown also wrote a controversial employment contract for Cornwell’s position as city manager which the council declined to renew.
After being elected, and being denied a raise, Brown abruptly left Compton to work for Attorney General Rob Bonta, It was Brown’s department who issued an opinion for Los Angeles residents to sue in an ongoing legal battle between Mark Ridley-Thomas and the Los Angeles city council after he was suspended for being named in a 21-count federal indictment.

He is a scoundrel. No integrity and a liar who is the worst kind there is as he is holding a position that should be held in the highest regard. I would not support his lying axe for dog catcher! Glad he left Compton. Let Pomona discover he is a Wolf in Lamb’s clothing.
I have the documents from the County Recorder’s office which proved that DAMON BROWN, never lived in Compton.
I also have knowledge of a notarized document that Damon Brown signed while in the position of Compton’s City Attorney, regarding refinancing of his home in Pomona.
Damon Brown swore that his “Primary residence is his home in Pomona , and he only used a Compton address to receive his salary, from his employer.
Damon Brown is a Liar, and has misused Public funds from the City of Compton.
