COMPTON – The newest member of the Compton city council made his first appearance in a Compton courtroom on allegations deriving from a domestic violence dispute with a member of his family.
Andre Spicer is alleged to have “choked” out a member of his family and in screenshots posted to social media stated “women need to stay in their place” and didn’t appear to have any remorse for his actions.
“A woman can and will get beat up by a man for putting herself in those spaces,” wrote Spicer.
He has only been a member of the city council since late June with the majority of his council colleagues being women.
The City also has made no official statement on the matter, however, there appears to be a coordinated attempt to defuse the situation with a media blitz covering the city spending $4,000 on some Botts’ dots to thwart street takeovers.
Residents continue to post videos of street takeovers taking place in the City.
Spicer’s predecessor, Isaac Galvan, also demonstrated poor personal behavior when he was a member of the council. He reportedly called then Councilwoman Emma Sharif a bi***, and gotten into what some described as a “drunken brawl” while attending a conference on official city business.
The council is dark the month of Aug. and will resume council meetings Sept. 6.
Spicer is due back in court the following week on Sept. 13 with the judge keeping the temporary restraining order against him in place until then.

Looking back Dre abused my sister when he felt he could no longer count her paying his bills. I felt bad he started coming to my apt to hangout. I gave him money here and there like we was together. When I stopped giving money cause I got fired he began to call a fag in public and shoo me away.
He needs to be removed from council with all these posts he is doing with his eatables on social media
Article in this paper about this incident always seem to drag Galvan into it. This is unfortunate because earlier articles about Galvan’s misadventures did not include negative statements about Spicer. Keep it clean or keep it dirty-but in all instances keep it fair and unbiased or your reader will lose faith in you
7/28 there was a Facebook post about this and one of his stark supporters and maybe another love interest posted “ You old fools would rather believe the lies that you make up amongst yourselves about AndreSpicer4HubCity than to actually believe what you see with your eyes!”
8/19: this lady always takes pride for posting receipts. IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH?
