An Opportunity for Students to Learn All About Compton College
Incoming students will have a chance to prepare for college in person at Compton College’s New Student Welcome Day from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. All students are welcome to attend this annual event!
New Student Welcome Day provides an ideal opportunity for new students to learn important information about Compton College, connect with the campus community, and:
- Meet Compton College President/CEO, Dr. Keith Curry.
- Complete orientation, get assistance with class registration, and applying for Financial Aid.
- Tour the campus.
- Learn about and apply for the many FREE resources offered to help students succeed.
- Participate in workshops about transferring, selecting majors and careers, tools for success, and Career Education for job training.

Get In-Person Registration Assistance Now Through August 20!
Compton College’s Student Support Services offices are offering extended hours now through August 20, 2022, including two Saturdays in August, to walk students through the registration and/or admissions process as well as answer questions. Counselors and financial aid representatives will also be available for in-person and online assistance. The Registration Assistance Extended Hours are:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 13 and August 20: 8:00 a.m. to noon
It’s not too late to register fall 2022 classes! Students may apply and register online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week via MyCompton on the Compton College website www.compton.edu. Saturday classes begin August 20; weekday classes begin Monday, August 22.
